After the repairs, the now president Alexander Dane focused on forming a formidable military. The capital was made Lexington, and they began to clean up the mess of a gunfight. They took over the now-former territories of The Southern Slavers, 2 major cities being Bowling Green and Lexington. And the blue backdrop represents the original flag of Kentucky. The 2 stars represented the 2 shots fired in the head of the Southern Slaver's leader, 'Blue Devil'. The center of the flag represented the Bluegrass of Kentucky and the Red Roses at the Derby's end. A flag designed by Johnson Hart was elected to become the nation's flag. He then held a 'contest' to design the flag, and the people voted on it. He decided to name the newly found nation: The Red Rose Republic. Until Dane took the charge, and since in his time he had spent years wandering listening to holotape recordings of Kentucky Derby races and heard about the Red Roses of the end of the race.
